Tea Towel Tote
Description
Shopping for adorable tea towels now has a new purpose. Use them as inspiration for your next tote!
Tea towels wrapping around the sides of the center pocket replace the side seams on this tote. The use of a thicker fabric and of Peltex on the base make this tote hold its shape. In addition, connecting the straps to the base gives the tote more strength to carry its contents.
Other details include a pocket tucked between the straps that is a great place for use of an accent color or a fabric. Optional interior pockets are also easy to add.
You’ll find yourself choosing to use this tote again and again—for its form and function!
Note: As with most totes, a sewing machine that can sew through many layers is needed for topstitching.

"I like the way the pattern can feature a large motif. The bottom support is a clever way to make a sturdy bottom. I have been using it and it is a handy size" - Jan
